Welcome to my website!
I am a postdoctoral researcher at the Institutions and Political Economy Research Group at the University of Barcelona since January 2017. Previously, I was a postdoctoral researcher at Heidelberg University.
I received a PhD in Economics from the University of Barcelona in 2013.
My research interest are in the fields of political economy and public economics, with a focus on distributive politics. I am very much interested in the political factors that influence the geographic distribution of public spending (e.g. party favoritism, clientelism, electoral cycles...). My most recent research focuses on a key institutional factor that shapes the functioning of political parties: party discipline.
